This bright, cheerful painting was a lot of fun to paint, even though its complex web of stems and leaves took a lot of concentrating to figure out. I used many different sized and shaped brushes to achieve the varying shapes in the leaves, bristles, and flowers.
INTERESTING FLOWER FACT: Blue thistles are associated with protection and pride. Could be the PERFECT GIFT for someone special who has just had a great achievement in their life or someone who is about to make a brave move!

OIL PAINTINGS:
All my oil paintings are left to dry for a minimum of six months and finished with Winsor & Newton satin varnish to lift the colours and protect the paintings.
FRAMING:
All my artworks are easy to frame. They are sold WITHOUT a frame to keep costs down and allow you to decide on what frame will look best in your home. However, some listings have an ‘add on’ feature where you can select a frame that has been custom made for that painting. An ‘add on’ frame IS AVAILABLE for this painting and the artwork will be attached unless otherwise requested.
PACKAGING:
Your artwork will be packaged securely and as eco-friendly as possible. I use acid free tissue paper to cover the paintings, place inside a water-tight plastic bag, then cover with paper bubble wrap or cardboard and send in a secure postal box. Click here to see more.
