My Pink Quill

Description: Original oil painting (frame not included).
This pink quill means a lot to me. It was a gift from one of the children I work closely with at school (I’m a SEN teaching assistant as well as an artist). It’s very much like him – bright, wild, and full of surprises! Its unruly long leaves point in all directions, catching the light and casting intense shadows. The quill itself seemed to have a glow around it and even the background was lit up with its energy! Every day after I finished painting it, a new flower sprouted out of the quill, which was so unexpected.
INTERESTING FLOWER FACT: The pink quill is a symbol of love and affection. This could be a perfect gift for newlyweds or a loved one!

OIL PAINTINGS:
All my oil paintings are left to dry for a minimum of six months and finished with Winsor & Newton satin varnish to lift the colours and protect the paintings.
FRAMING:
All my artworks are easy to frame. They are sold WITHOUT a frame to keep costs down and allow you to decide on what frame will look best in your home. However, some listings have an ‘add on’ feature where you can select a frame that has been custom made for that painting. An ‘add on’ frame IS AVAILABLE for this painting and the artwork will be attached unless otherwise requested.
PACKAGING:
Your artwork will be packaged securely and as eco-friendly as possible. I use acid free tissue paper to cover the paintings, place inside a water-tight plastic bag, then cover with paper bubble wrap or cardboard and send in a secure postal box. Click here to see more.
