These beautiful blue irises is by far my favourite painting. I love how the movement is captured in the petals and the distortion of the stems in the thick glass of the vase. I have kept the background simple, using the same colour for the shadow so that the focus is on the flowers and the vase. Also, if you look closely, you can see the red tones in the underlayer shining through, creating warmth to a predominantly blue painting.

OIL PAINTINGS:
All my oil paintings are left to dry for a minimum of six months and finished with Winsor & Newton satin varnish to lift the colours and protect the paintings.
FRAMING:
All my artworks are easy to frame. They are sold WITHOUT a frame to keep costs down and allow you to decide on what frame will look best in your home. However, some listings have an ‘add on’ feature where you can select a frame that has been custom made for that painting. An ‘add on’ frame IS AVAILABLE for this painting and the artwork will be attached unless otherwise requested.
PACKAGING:
Your artwork will be packaged securely and as eco-friendly as possible. I use acid free tissue paper to cover the paintings, place inside a water-tight plastic bag, then cover with paper bubble wrap or cardboard and send in a secure postal box. Click here to see more.
