Fringed Tulips

Sometimes, I see a picture of some flowers and I just have to paint it! This was the case with these fringed tulips. It was the leaves that grabbed my attention the most – I love the way they twist and point and curl back on themselves. And the different shades of green were really pulling me in. The tulips themselves are quite unusual – they are tightly closed and have an almost flesh like appearance.
INTERESTING FLOWER FACT: Tulips have become symbols of enduring love between partners or family. They are also the flower for the 11th wedding anniversary. Perfect for a loved one, or those in love, especially if it is their 11th wedding anniversary!

OIL PAINTINGS:
All my oil paintings are left to dry for a minimum of six months and finished with Winsor & Newton satin varnish to lift the colours and protect the paintings.
FRAMING:
All my artworks are easy to frame. They are sold WITHOUT a frame to keep costs down and allow you to decide on what frame will look best in your home. However, some listings have an ‘add on’ feature where you can select a frame that has been custom made for that painting. An ‘add on’ frame IS AVAILABLE for this painting and the artwork will be attached unless otherwise requested.
PACKAGING:
Your artwork will be packaged securely and as eco-friendly as possible. I use acid free tissue paper to cover the paintings, place inside a water-tight plastic bag, then cover with paper bubble wrap or cardboard and send in a secure postal box. Click here to see more.
